D.C.M.A Law (Digital Content Millennial Act – USA 1998) Introduction The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that implements two 1996 treaties of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). 6. False Claims
Submitting a false DMCA takedown notice can have severe legal consequences. These consequences may include liability for damages, court costs, and attorney’s fees.
7. Expedited Takedown and Reinstatement
Stay True Music is committed to responding promptly to valid DMCA takedown notices. Upon receiving a complete and valid notice, we will remove the allegedly infringing material within a reasonable timeframe. Rights holders who believe their content was removed in error can submit a counter-notice. Upon receipt of a complete and valid counter-notice, Stay True Music will replace the removed material within a reasonable timeframe.
